Doctor Who - Series 6 News

It's might be a few weeks before the second half of Series 6 airs but here's the latest on Doctor Who you need to know.

First it was Piers Wenger and now it seems that Beth Willis has left the series. The producer has left the show to return to her former home, Kudos Film And Television. Willis will officially leave at the end of the month while Wenger will have left the BBC for Film4 by September. I guess that means two new producers are needed for the series now. Filming for the Christmas special is supposed to be happening in September.

Elsewhere, a preview screening for Let's Kill Hitler will be in Edinburgh from August 27th and a synopsis for the episode has been released ....

In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler. The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities - and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all.

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan will also be signing boxsets of the first half of Series 6, released on July 11th in the US LA based Amoeba Store from July 26th for lucky Americans.
